Lovebirds Can Now Get Marriage License At McCarran Airport

A pop-up marriage license booth is coming to McCarran Airport to accommodate the season of love.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Valentine's Day is approaching and love is in the air...port.

McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas will open a pop-up marriage license office, through the Clark County Clerk's Office, at the Terminal 1 baggage claim area from Feb. 9 through Feb. 17.

It's a necessary measure to accommodate the influx of lovebirds flocking to Sin City this month.

The Clark County Clerk's Office issues around 80,000 marriage licenses each year and one out of every 25 marriages in the country in 2016 took place in Clark County. In the days leading up to Valentine's Day, licenses typically double what's normally expected, the Clerk's Office said.

“The days around Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day weekend are always some of our busiest,” said County Clerk Lynn Goya. “This pop-up marriage license office will make it easier for couples flying here to pick up a marriage license.”

The booth will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. All you need is a valid identification and $77.

Anyone planning their nuptials in Las Vegas should fill out a pre-application, available at www.ClarkCounty.gov.
