- A man was found dead on Tuesday at an apartment in the 3500 block of Paradise Road, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene after having suffered from a gunshot wound. As of Wednesday, the investigation is ongoing. (Las Vegas Sun)
- Under a new Nevada state law, almost 35,000 traffic warrants were retracted in compliance in Las Vegas. The new law requires certain minor traffic violations to be civil matters and not criminal misdemeanors that require warrants. The civil infractions still need to be paid regardless of the removal of the warrants. (Las Vegas Sun)
- Seven people were injured after a hard helicopter landing at Boulder City Municipal Airport. The "crash while landing" was from a Grand Canyon tour helicopter at the Las Vegas-area airport on Wednesday afternoon. The six passengers and pilot were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. (Elko Daily Free Press)
