Driver kills pedestrian at Las Vegas homeless encampment (8newsnow.com) — A man was killed Friday night when a suspected impaired driver crashed through a southeast Las Vegas homeless encampment near East Warm Springs Road, pinning the victim under a car. Police say the 24-year-old Las Vegas driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving, as Metro’s collision investigators continue to examine the undeveloped-area crash.
   

2. Clark County urges Las Vegas valley to ‘Put Out the Fire' this holiday season (8newsnow.com) — Clark County is asking Las Vegas Valley residents with wood-burning fireplaces and fire pits to cut back this holiday season to avoid violating federal clean air standards. After several past Christmases with unhealthy PM2.5 levels, officials hope residents will sign a “Put Out the Fire” pledge, consider cleaner alternatives, and help keep local holiday air healthier.
   

3. Stolen holiday inflatable sparks anger in Las Vegas neighborhood (8newsnow.com) — Neighbors near Cimarron Road and Westcliff Drive are on edge after a large holiday inflatable was stolen from a west Las Vegas Valley yard, then later found nearby. The homeowners say the theft feels like a violation of neighborhood trust, and Las Vegas police are reviewing surveillance video and asking for tips as they search for the suspects seen with a dark-colored SUV.
   

4. ‘We're gonna sweat the tuxedos out tonight': Jeezy gets orchestral in Las Vegas — PHOTOS (reviewjournal.com) — A packed crowd at Planet Hollywood’s PH Live in Las Vegas dressed to the nines for Jeezy’s orchestral celebration of his landmark “Thug Motivation 101” album. Michael Parker, who was married in Las Vegas and hopes to move closer to the team, now delights fans and kids at toy drives while keeping his family tradition alive.
