- Las Vegas' Jorge Abramovs, 40 years old, has been sentenced to five years in prison for bilking the government out of millions in federal loans and COVID-19 relief funds. Abramovs has also been ordered to pay more than $2.5 million in restitution. According to federal prosecutors, he spent more than $.19 million on luxury condominiums, a Bentley, and a Tesla vehicle. (Las Vegas Sun)
- Treasure Island casino will be hosting a hiring fair on Tuesday, Nov. 29. The event will be inside TI's Antilles Banquet Room from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The casino will be hiring for a variety of positions that includes guest room attendants, security officers, fountain workers, massage therapists, and hair stylists. - The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports a woman died after being hit in the head with a rake on Sept. 30. The incident occurred in the area of Bruce and Fremont. Marcia Averett, 53 years old, was found unconscious with obvious head trauma and a cut to the right temple area. According to witnesses, she was hit in the head by a Black woman riding a bicycle. The department arrested Bianca Robinson on Oct. 24 for a murder charge. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
