Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:
- New guidelines from the Las Vegas Valley Water District will impose an increased price for excessive water usage this year. More than 70 percent of Valley residents use the water district. The price increase aims to target the top 10 percent of residential water users. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- Spiegelworld, producers of several shows on the Las Vegas Strip, have purchased a town about an hour south of Las Vegas. The team said they plan to turn Nipton, California, into the world's first 'Circus Town.' They also said this will be a town where performers and artisits can live and "will retreat to dream, create, and undertake unfettered artistic experimentation” that will then become part of its Las Vegas shows." (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- A seven-year-old Las Vegas boy was recently accepted into MENSA, an elite club for people with a high IQ. Applicants must have an IQ of 132 or higher to be considered for membership. The boy's IQ was tested at 158. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
