  1. The Nevada Homeless Alliance held its Annual Project Homeless Connect event yesterday (Nov. 22) to serve Las Vegas' homeless and low-income communities. The event was held at The Silver Nugget Casino from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participants were able to access general wellness exams, screenings, vaccines, blood pressure checks, mammograms, and more. There was also job training, food assistance, and housing resources. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
  2. The City of Las Vegas has been working to prevent extended-stay motel and hotel fires. Over the last year, the city has inspected over 1,000 units. The inspections found missing or broken smoke detectors in 24 of the first 25 units inspected. The inspections resulted in 154 life-safety violations and 389 non-life-safety violations. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  3. Las Vegas attorney Patricia Lee has been appointed to the Nevada Supreme Court. Gov. Steve Sisolak appointed her on Monday to fill the seat formerly filled by Justice Abbi Silver. Lee was a partner at Las Vegas' Hutchison and Steffen law firm. (Nevada Independent)

  • Nathan's Famous has provided Three Square Food Bank with a $5,000 donation to address hunger in the Las Vegas community. The funds will be used to supply 15,000 meals to the food bank. (PRNewsWire)
