Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:

1. The Nevada Department of Corrections is actively searching for a missing offender who did not return to Las Vegas transitional housing. Roberto Munoz, 51 years old, did not return to Casa Grande Transitional Housing after his DMV appointment on Tuesday. 2. Irish American punk band Flogging Molly will be performing in Las Vegas next year. Their performance will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day at The Chelsea. 3. A Las Vegas father has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his own son. Wendell Melton has been convicted of shooting his 14-year-old son Giovanni. His defense was that the shooting was accidental. Veronica Melton, Giovanni's mother, told the jury that the shooting was intentional because Wendell "did not want a gay son."
