- A North Las Vegas SWAT standoff has ended in an arrest. The incident lasted several hours on Tuesday morning in the area of Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road. Travelers were asked to avoid the area during the incident. The North Las Vegas Police Department has not yet released the man's identity. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
- An in-person Pokémon Go event is scheduled for Las Vegas next year. The Pokémon Go Tour will be a two-day event in Sunset Park. The event will be held on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19. The event will feature Pokémon from the Ruby and Sapphire games, according to the event's organizers. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- The lights on the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign were turned red and white to celebrate the red kettle kickoff. The Salvation Army program has about 50 bellringers in the Las Vegas valley. The red kettles will be at about 60 different locations through Dec. 24. Collected funds will be used to support local residents in need. (News3LV)
