Here are the top three stories in Reno today:

1. A Reno man has been arrested in connection with a 50-year-old cold case. The arrest is in connection to a dead body discovered in a Waikiki apartment in 1972. The suspect was eventually discovered using DNA comparison. The individual's name has not been released and extradition terms are still pending. (KOLO)
2. The new mural at Reno Fire Department's Fire Station 9 has been unveiled. The mural displays airplanes emblazoned with the department's logo. The mural celebrates the department and the National Championship Air Races. The mural is painted on the station's metal garage doors. (KOLO)
3. Students attending the University of Nevada, Reno will now have free access to the Nevada Museum of Art. The free admission extends to the singers/songwriters of First Friday, Art Bite, and every exhibition. The program's funding is made possible through the Free Student Admission Endowment fund.
