- Tudor Chirila, 77, told a Reno judge on Wednesday that he will be fighting extradition to Hawaii. Chirila stated that he believes his constitutional rights have been violated. He was arrested last week for a 50-year-old cold case. He has been accused of second-degree murder for the 1972 fatal stabbing of a woman in her Honolulu apartment. (Nevada Appeal)
- Reno residents will soon have the ability to purchase discounted prescription drugs. Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak has unveiled a new digital prescription drug card program called ArrayRX. Residents will be able to save an average of 80 percent on generic drugs and 20 percent on name-brand drugs using ArrayRX. Click to sign up. (AP News)
- Oscar Delgado has resigned from the Reno City Council. He previously represented the city's Ward Three. He has stated that his resignation is to focus on his family and job leading a Northern Nevada health care provider. His last day representing Ward Three will be on Sep. 30. (Nevada Independent)
