- The Reno-Tahoe Airport is encouraging travelers to arrive at the airport at least two hours early this week due to increased traffic. The extra time will be important during longer security and check-in lines. To reduce airport stress, travelers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, snacks, and fully charged electronics. Also, check your flight status before heading to the airport. (KTVN)
- The City of Reno is asking residents to avoid all contact with Virginia Lake water for at least the next two months. The warning extends to pets. There is an algae bloom that has contaminated the lake water. It is a common occurrence during the warm summer months, but there is a high risk of cyanotoxins. (Press Release Desk)
