Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

  1. The University of Nevada, Reno has reopened Argenta Hall. The residence hall was closed in July 2019 due to building remediation and updates. The university celebrated the building's reopening with a special ceremony and hall tours Tuesday. The hall features an upgraded convenience store and dining location. (Nevada Today)
  2. The City of Reno has appointed a new Director of Maintenance and Operations. Travis Truhill, 35, has extensive knowledge in community development, public works, and maintenance. He has been working with the city since 2005. (City of Reno)
  3. Washoe County will be performing aerial mosquito treatment today. The county Health District reports that this will be the second-to-last aerial larvicide treatment of the season. The next treatment is scheduled for Sep. 22. The treatment date may change, however. (KOLO)
