Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

1. Autosales Inc., which has an office in Reno, has been fined by the federal Environmental Protection Agency for selling devices that defeat emission controls in diesel-powered vehicles. The devices are known as "straight pipes" and render inoperative emission control systems. Autosales Inc. is a major supplier of aftermarket auto equipment in the United States. (Nevada Appeal)
2. Reno Experience District's Copper Pointe Studios is searching for models and vendors for its upcoming fashion show. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sep. 24 between 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The event will feature fashion trends and shopping opportunities. (KOLO)
3. The Washoe County Health District has reported its 11th case of monkeypox. The new case is a male in his 40s. The department has not released additional information about the infected individual.
