- A local group that helps feed the homeless held a candlelight vigil on Tuesday night to honor the victim of the crash on 4th Street. Food Not Bombs gathered to remember the victim of Monday's crash — Michelle, also known as "Mama Bear" — that resulted in one fatality and left two in critical condition. The victim's friends and families gathered to wish the two other victims, who are related to Mama Bear, a speedy recovery and honor Mama Bear's memory. (KOLO)
- Reno's newest hospital just celebrated its first anniversary. Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center opened a year ago this week. In the last 365 days, it has cared for more than 23,000 patients and helped with the births of more than 700 babies. Capitalizing on the growth and demand for the hospital's care, the campus will soon open its Medical Office Building featuring outpatient services in late 2023. (KTVN)
- The Bureau of Land Management is hoping to receive feedback from its public scoping period regarding new construction. The organization is seeking public feedback for a proposed 450-mile underground fiber optic line project between Reno and Las Vegas, crossing several counties. The line will be used to transmit data and comments can be submitted to inform the decision process. Comments will be accepted until May 2. (KOLO)

If you're a hopeful homeowner looking to buy soon, consider attending the open houses that match your needs — like a jaw-dropping residence with five beds and five baths for $2.7 million or a single-family home with three beds and two baths for $450,000. - Congratulations to Captain Bill Gentry, who is retiring after serving 25 years with the Reno Fire Department! He was a member of the swift water rescue team and a 10-year hazmat technician. (Reno Firefighters Association via Facebook)
- Animal Ark Reno will be open Easter weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. After this holiday weekend, the wildlife sanctuary will begin its regular hours on Apr. 11. (Animal Ark Reno via Instagram)
