Here are the top three stories in Reno today:
- The Reno City Council reported on Wednesday that it would need more public input before finalizing cannabis lounge rules. The city will have to create regulations regarding lounge, curbside, and drive-through operations. Reno is also allowed to limit the number of cannabis lounges operating within city limits. (This Is Reno)
- Poor air quality is not a concern for Reno Air Races operations. There will be a series of events this weekend despite the continuing occurrence of wildfire smoke in the area. Participants are still encouraged to wear masks to filter out the air's participles. (KOLO)
- The identity of the individual arrested in Reno for a 50-year-old Waikiki cold case has been released. Tudor Chirila Junior, 77, is being held at the Washoe County Jail for allegedly fatally stabbing a teenager in Hawaii in 1972. Tudor has been an attorney in the Reno area and has served as a deputy attorney general. He also ran unsuccessfully for the state's Supreme Court in 1994. (Mercury News)
