🌱 Construction Zone Speeding Arrest + Missing Elderly Woman

Here are the top three stories in Reno today:

  1. The Washoe County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man for speeding through a Reno construction zone. Vincent Delimios has been charged with various charges including two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and driving without a license. Construction site workers reported the driver for repeatedly driving through the zone at a high rate of speed. (KRNV)
  2. The Reno Police Department is searching for a missing elderly woman. Carol Lynne Lara went missing on Monday around 3:30 p.m. near Silver Legacy Casino. She is reportedly using a rolling walker with a black seat. Anyone with information about Lara's whereabouts is asked to contact the police department immediately. (KOLO)
  3. Reno's Birch Manor apartment complex has added some kid-friendly amenities. The upgrade project was done with the help of the Reno Housing Authority. The upgrades include a new basketball court, picnic space, dog park, raised garden beds, and more. The apartment complex hopes the new amenities improve the safety and health of the kids living in the area. (KOLO)
