- The Reno Jazz Orchestra will be performing "Creative Directions in Jazz" on Oct. 21 at the Nevada Museum of Art. The performance will be featuring original compositions by various contemporary composers. The Reno Jazz Orchestra has been performing in Northern Nevada for over 20 years. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performance will start at $35 for museum members and $40 for the general public. (South Tahoe Now)
- The Washoe County Sheriff's Office has announced that Incline Community Picnic will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The free event will be held at Aspen Grove and Village Green in Incline Village. There will be free hot dogs and hamburgers. A variety of Washoe County Sheriff's Office special teams will be in attendance, such as the Bomb Squad and the Mounted Horse Unit. (South Tahoe Now)
- The University of Nevada, Reno will be honoring Tyler Hilinski during College Football Mental Health Week. The event is meant to support a discussion about mental struggles that student-athletes regularly face.
