- Reno residents were left feeling rattled after a magnitude 2.3 earthquake shook the city on Tuesday morning. The brief quake struck at 10:03 p.m. with a reported depth of 0.37 kilometers below the surface. The earthquake's epicenter was located 2.1 miles south-southwest of Galena High School near the Galena Creek Bridge. (Reno Gazette Journal)
- Two people were displaced from their home following a fire just north of Reno on Monday night. Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue and Sparks Fire Department crews responded to the blaze on Ernie Lane around 8:30 p.m. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is now under investigation. (KKOH)
- Eddy House is partnering with businesses across northern Nevada, including several in Reno, to raise funds for homeless youth services. The effort will take place throughout the month of November in honor of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, and funds raised will support the drop-in center and emergency shelter on Willow Street.
