Election 2018: These Are Nevada's Candidates
The final list of candidates running for a number of state and federal offices in Nevada in 2018.

Election season has officially arrived in Nevada. The deadline for file to candidates was Friday evening at 5 p.m. At this point, the field can only be narrowed, and that is exactly what will happen in a number of key races across Nevada at both the state and federal level.
One of the bigger fields will be an 11-way Republican primary and a seven-way Democratic primary in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District. Five other candidates have also filed to run in CD3.
The marquee race in Nevada will be for Nevada's open United States Senate seat. Incumbent Dean Heller, considered by many to be one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country, is looking to hold his seat. Rep. Jacky Rosen is leaving her seat in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District to challenge Heller as the Democratic favorite. Though both are favorites to win their primary, they're part of a field of 14 who have filed to run for Senate.

The race for governor will also be an intriguing one. Clark County Commissioners Steve Sisolak and Christina Giunchilgliani will battle it out as front runners in a six-way Democratic primary. Meanwhile, Republican Attorney General Adam Laxalt is the party favorite for the Republican nomination. Bunkerville rancher Ryan Bundy, son of Cliven Bundy, has also filed to run for governor.
Bundy's candidacy will be sure to make headlines. In January, District Court Judge Gloria Navarrao dismissed the United States Government's court case against Ryan, Cliven, and Ammon Bundy, for their involvement in the 2014 armed standoff with BLM agents near their Bunkerville home.

Races for Nevada's Lieutenant Governor, State Treasurer, State Controller, Attorney General, and Secretary of State will also be held.
At the state level, 11 of the 21 State Senate seats are available this election season, and all 42 State Assembly seats are available.
