  1. The City of Reno installed experimental signage on Veterans Parkway in an effort to reduce horse-vehicle collisions. The posted speed limit has decreased from 45 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour at night (from sunset to sunrise). The city staff plans to monitor the area and determine the impact of the signage.   2. Over the weekend, the Reno Police Department arrested five people during a St. Patrick's Day drunk driving saturation patrol. Police shared that Saturday eight officers and one sergeant stopped 96 drivers looking for suspected impairment. From Friday afternoon to early Saturday, RPD officers issued a total of 14 traffic tickets. (KOLO)
  3. According to the National Weather Service, winter weather is expected to continue in Lake Tahoe, the Sierra, Reno, and lower valleys this week. Residents can expect periods of wind, rain, and snow today as late as Wednesday. (Carson Now)
