  1. Regional Animal Services will be offering free microchipping services on Oct. 29. The microchipping will be for livestock such as pigs, horses, donkeys, mules, sheep, and tortoises. Washoe County residents are encouraged to take advantage of the microchipping services between 8:00 a.m. and noon at the Bartley Ranch Regional Park Horse Arena. (KOLO)
  2. The Reno Police Department reports that a pedestrian in a wheelchair was struck and killed on Friday morning in downtown Reno. The incident occurred in the area of 5th Street between Valley Road and Elko Avenue shortly before 8:00 a.m. The department believes that the pedestrian was homeless. Speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash. (FoxReno.com)
  3. The City of Reno's Micromobility Pilot Project is entering its next phase. The new phase will be testing six different micromobility features while collecting data. The project was launched in June and has garnered over a thousand survey responses from city residents. The project's findings will be presented through a final report in the spring. (2 News)
