- A Reno pastry chef has been selected to compete in Food Network's Spring Baking Championship: Easter edition. Kevin Futamachi, a pastry chef based out of the Renaissance Resort in Reno, said that he has had a passion for pastries since he was a kid. This is his third baking competition. - Authorities have been unable to find the location of a gas leak in the area of Summit Ridge and McCarran Boulevard. According to the Reno Fire Department and NV Energy, crews responded to a call at 11 p.m. on Wednesday in the Summit Ridge area from a concerned customer. After investigation, no issues could be identified and customers were cleared to return home. No further details are available as of Thursday afternoon. (KTVN)
