Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

  1. The Regional Narcotics Unit and Washoe County detectives arrested two men on drug trafficking charges. Luis Zepeda-Partida and William Nunez were arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 23, following the suspicious overdose death of a woman on Sugar Hill Drive in Sun Valley. Zepeda-Partida and Nunez were found with trafficking levels of cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. (KRNV)
  2. Thousands of people in hundreds of cars took over northern Nevada parking lots and intersections this weekend after social media posts urged people to come to the "sideshow" in Reno. Responding officers arrested about a dozen people while issuing 33 citations. Police report that Reno is just the latest city that has been dealing with the "anti-authoritarian" group of car enthusiasts. (ABC News)
  3. The Reno Aces defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas to claim the Pacific Coast League Championship. The team won 6-2 behind a solid start from Brandon Pfaadt. The bullpen finished off the game with four scoreless innings. The Reno Aces are the Triple-A affiliate for the Arizona Diamondbacks. (Sports Illustrated)
