Here are the top three stories in Reno today:
- The Regional Narcotics Unit has arrested Kerry "Fab" Williams, 34, and James Plummer, 40, for allegedly trafficking illegal drugs in Reno. The two individuals were arrested near the Atlantis Hotel Casino Resort with 5.15 pounds of meth and 11.8 ounces of heroin. The Regional Narcotics Unit is a coalition of the Reno Police Department, the Sparks Police Department, and various local law enforcement agencies. (KOLO)
- The Reno Tahoe International Art Show has officially begun at the Reno Sparks Convention Center. The event will run through this Sunday. - The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is warning the community about individuals impersonating law enforcement officials. The two individuals allegedly approached homes in Washoe Valley and introduced themselves as detectives with the department. Residents are reminded that law enforcement will not fail to provide names, badges, or commission numbers. Anyone suspecting an individual of impersonating law enforcement can call the department at 775-328-3001. (Press Release Desk)
