Here are the top three stories in Reno today:

  1. David Allen Burns and Austin Young have been commissioned to create a large-scale public work of art for the Nevada Museum of Art's expansion project. The work will be titled "Monument to Sharing" and will involve planting about 21 fruit-bearing trees. The community will be invited to harvest from the trees while exploring the ideas of generosity, community, and agricultural production. (KRNV)
  2. Washoe County residents have been complaining about a lack of trail etiquette on local trails. The complaints were made through the community app Nextdoor. Residents are reminded by the Bureau of Land Management that living animals have the right of way ahead of vehicles. (KRNV)
  3. The University of Nevada, Reno campus, will allow Bird Global Inc. to operate on campus. The company operates Bird e-scooters. The partnership currently operates in downtown and midtown Reno. Participants in the program will be required to park the scooters at designated locations. (KOLO)
