- Joe Lombardo's Reno campaign office was vandalized on Wednesday. According to the campaign, the team is disappointed by the behavior but will not be deterred by it. Lombardo is facing Democrat Steve Sisolak in the Nov. 8 General Election. (KOLO)
- The Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl is scheduled for Saturday, Sep. 10 between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The Reno event will feature over 40 literary readings. There will be panel discussions, book signings, and art installations for guests to enjoy. Over 80 artists and writers will be present at the event. (Carson Now)
- The University of Nevada, Reno will once again support a Division 1 ski team. The announcement was made through a press conference on Wednesday. According to the university, the program will start with only an alpine skiing division. As the funds become available, a Nordic team will be added. (FasterSkier.com)
