  1. Nevada State College in nearby Henderson may officially become Nevada State University on Jul. 1. The Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents voted 9-4 for the name change on Friday, but the change will have to wait for pending legislation that's been drafted and gaining interest in the state legislature. That legislation would add a second-tier teaching university to state law. (KOLO)
  2. The Nevada Museum of Art in Reno has opened its newest exhibit, Ghost Army: The Combat Con Artists of World War II, which was produced by the New Orleans World War II Museum. The exhibit tells the story of the U.S. 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, also known as the Ghost Army, which served during World War II and tricked the Germans into thinking a major amphibious assault would land in a different area of the coast than D-Day's Normandy. Active military members, their families, and veterans can visit the exhibit for free. (This Is Reno)
  3. The Reno Fire Department reported that two people were hospitalized on Saturday evening after a car accident in the rain on US-395. Emergency response officials said that when they arrived on the scene, they found two people in the crashed vehicle, and one had to be extricated before both were taken to the hospital. As of Sunday, one person is reported to have minor injuries and another reportedly has serious ones. The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash. (FoxReno.com)
