  1. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is bringing its Produce On Wheels program to two new sites this month, including one at the Downtown Library on Center Street in Reno. Seniors over age 60 are encouraged to stop by the truck on the second and third Wednesday of each month from 9:00-10:00 a.m. to select their own produce in manageable quantities. The second new Produce On Wheels site will be located at the Cold Springs Valley Church in Cold Springs. (2 News)
  2. On Thursday morning, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport announced plans to demolish concourses B and C and construct new ones, which will include five new gates. The half-billion-dollar project is expected to take roughly seven years to complete, and airport officials say travelers should anticipate major delays due to construction. The airport's board of trustees has also approved $30 million to redesign the ticket lobby during the expansion. (KRNV)
  3. Members of the Reno City Council gathered Wednesday to select the four finalists who will advance in the running for the Ward 3 Seat. Candidates Kyle Edgerton, Miguel Martinez, Courtney McKimmey, and Sean Savoy were selected among a pool of 19 hopefuls. All four finalists will be available for meet-and-greets with the public on Oct. 18-19 before the Council makes a final appointment on Wednesday, Oct. 26. (2 News)
