- The Reno-Tahoe International Airport will offer seasonal nonstop flights to New York City, Chicago, and Minneapolis starting in June, with four airlines resuming their services. These routes were previously available outside of the season but often required a stopover. Reno-Tahoe International currently offers nonstop flights to more than 20 destinations and is undergoing a significant renovation to enhance its facilities. (Reno Gazette Journal)
- On May 9, the inaugural Downtown Tuesdays event was held by the Reno Downtown Partnership at the old RTC bus station on 4th Street, featuring live music, food trucks, and games. The event is a monthly series taking place on the second Tuesday of every month through Sep. 12, with the goal of attracting more people to the downtown area and providing a platform for artists, musicians, and food vendors to showcase their products. Each event will offer different food options as the food trucks rotate, making Downtown Tuesdays a fresh and exciting experience. To learn more about the partnership, click here. (KOLO)
- A man in his mid-30s was taken to Renown Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after his car veered off a cliff on Woodchuck Circle in Reno. The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m., and the driver suffered a minor head injury. Upon arrival at the hospital, he was given a blood toxicology test. No further details are currently available about the accident. (KOLO)
