Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

  1. The Nevada Transportation Board of Directors announced state transportation contracts yesterday (Mar. 13), which are expected to create 1,837 jobs for one year. The aim is to ensure a secure and connected transportation system in Nevada. Transportation improvements include the resurfacing and rehabilitating of two and a half miles of I-580 from Peckham Lane to Mill Street in Reno. (Nevada Dot)
  2. Leading water damage restoration company Commercial Water Damage Nevada has announced the opening of its new location in Reno. The new location will offer expert services in the restoration of flood-damaged properties to residents and business owners in the Reno area. Some of the expert services offered will be water extraction, drying, cleaning, repairs, and mold remediation services. (Digital Journal)
  3. According to the National Weather Service, another atmospheric river is about to hit Reno and Northern Nevada. The heaviest rain will begin in Reno early this morning and last through Wednesday, with about half an inch of rain expected. The storm will be warm, with temperatures in the low 50's.
