- New road closures have been announced as part of the Oddie Wells project. The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) announced the new closures — which span from Nov. 10 to Dec. 2 — for ongoing construction activity and paving operations for Phase 1 of the project. However, intersections will be reopened over the Thanksgiving weekend of Nov. 24-Nov. 27. Click the link to view the road closures. (KOLO)
- A permit has been filed for a new Panera Bread location at the West End Commons near Keystone Avenue in Reno. The permit for commercial grading and site improvements at West 5th Street was filed with the city of Reno on Oct. 31 and is currently undergoing review. The restaurant plans to employ 60 workers at this location. (Reno Gazette-Journal)
- The Atlantis Casino is hosting a complimentary lunch buffet for Veterans. To honor those who have served and sacrificed, veterans can get one complimentary lunch buffet today (Nov. 8) through Nov. 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Toucan Charlie’s Buffet and Grille. To receive the complimentary buffet, guests must have a Monarch Rewards card and either a military ID, military spouse ID, or DD-214. (KOLO)
