- On Monday, University of Nevada, Reno authorities investigated a potential threat that was reported on Sunday evening. The threatening posts were reportedly made on Yelp and targeted both the university campus and nearby businesses. Despite the ongoing investigation, classes continued as scheduled on Monday morning. - The Human Services Agency (HSA) and the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) are partnering to host the KOLO Cares Stuff A Bus Drive-By Donation Drive to help vulnerable seniors in Washoe County. The donation drive will take place at Target near Sparks Marina on May 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Donated items, including hygiene products, clothing, bus passes, and various other items, will be stored at the Washoe County Senior Center and offered to seniors in need. These entry-level jobs aim to help producers develop conservation plans and implement strategies that mitigate climate change and conserve natural resources. - Reno has experienced its second wettest water year on record, with 12.53 inches of precipitation collected at the airport — 6.67 inches higher than the average for the beginning of May.
