- Last week, the Reno Police Department conducted a pedestrian safety operation which resulted in seven warnings and 63 traffic citations being issued. The Nevada Office of Traffic funded a grant for the police department to monitor areas of traffic where they've seen the highest concentration of pedestrian-related accidents. Their efforts were mostly focused on drivers and pedestrians violating laws intended to keep the area safe. (KOLO)
- The Training and Rehabilitation's (DETR) February 2023 economic report for Nevada's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate came in at 5.5 percent. According to the Nevada Department of Employment, this number was unchanged since January and combines rates from all three Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA) which saw Las Vegas at 6 percent, Reno at 4.5 percent, and Carson at 5.2 percent. - On Tuesday, Mar. 28, the Gaming Control Board announced that Nevada casinos collected nearly $1.24 billion in gaming revenue throughout the month of February. Southern Nevada mostly fueled the increase while casinos in Washoe County saw a nearly 8.1 percent year-to-year decline in revenue. Reno casinos specifically reported a 10.4 percent drop in their revenue, which led to ending the month at $54.4 million. (The Nevada Independent)

- On Monday, Mar. 27, a dynamic winter storm impacted the Reno region, and a Winter Storm Warning will remain in effect until Wednesday night. Residents can expect difficult travel among the Sierra and northeast California due to heavy snow and strong winds. (Weather.gov)
- The SPCA of Northern Nevada said goodbye to its fun-loving rescue, Truckee, after waiting four months to find her forever family. If you're in the market for a new pet, there are plenty of animals still available at the shelter and ready for adoption. (SPCA of Northern Nevada)
- The Reno Fire Department announced that the Second Annual Classics Cup game will be taking place at Reno Ice on Friday, Apr. 7, at 7:00 p.m. The event will honor the JUSTin HOPE Foundation and Special Olympics, so come out to support the cause while enjoying an exciting game of hockey.
