- The Washoe County Sheriff's Office will be hosting its semi-annual Prescription Drug Round Up on Saturday, Oct. 29. The department will be teaming up with a variety of other local law enforcement agencies for the event. Residents can participate from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at various locations throughout the county. (Press Release Desk)
- The Reno Police Department discovered two individuals dead inside a home in north Reno. The bodies were discovered shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night on Corrigan Way. The department is currently conducting an investigation. The department has reason to believe that the incident is not a threat to the community at this time. (KOLO)
- Reno pumpkin farmers report record-high inflation and labor shortages during their busy season. According to the farmers, fertilizer has doubled in price and fuel prices continue to make harvesting expensive. Year-round activities have been vital to supporting Reno's local pumpkin farmers.
