- The Reno Rodeo Foundation's largest annual fundraiser, Rhythm & Rawhide, is scheduled for Saturday, Sep. 10. The event will be held at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater at Bartley Ranch Regional Park and will open at 4:30 p.m. The attire will be cowboy hats and cocktail dresses. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting kids in 14 counties with extraordinary needs. (KOLO)
- The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority continues to deny virtual access to board meetings to the community. The privilege allowed to board members has not been extended to the public. To watch the meetings, the community must attend a board meeting in person. According to the authority, the decision to not allow public virtual access is because they are not required by law to do so. (This Is Reno)
- A Reno family has brought a new shaved ice concept to the area. The Snoasis Shaved Ice truck began out of the Kump family's garage during the COVID-19 pandemic. The business has flourished into a mobile shaved ice truck that tours the area and sets up shop at various Reno events. Click to view the Snoasis Shaved Ice schedule. (KOLO)
