  1. The Reno-Tahoe region can expect to face another week of snowfall, as well as potential flooding. The snow is not expected to be as heavy as in recent weeks, but residents will need to watch for any rapidly changing patterns which could make commuting or traveling a bit challenging these next few days. “You have this deep snowpack and then you get a lot of rain,” Dawn Johnson, a senior meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Reno said. “You might get some urban flooding concerns.” (Reno Gazette-Journal)
  2. Bawja Properties officially purchased a two-property hospitality portfolio in Reno. The 229-room portfolio includes a 94-key Staybridge Suites and a 135-key Hilton Garden Inn. Both properties will feature 24-hour business centers, onsite meeting rooms, pools, fitness centers, event spaces, and more. (REBusinessOnline)
  3. Cinemark's Oscar Movie Week Festival returned on Monday, Mar. 6, and will continue through Sunday, Mar. 12. Tickets are available for purchase to watch all of this year's Best Picture, Best Live Action, and Best Animated Short Film Nominees at the Century Riverside 12 in downtown Reno and Century Summit in South Reno.
