🌱 Shooting Kills 1 Near Museum Drive + City Discusses Wild Horses

Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

  1. Police are investigating after a person was found dead near the area of Museum Drive and the nearby riverwalk path. Officers discovered the male victim just after midnight on Oct. 9 during a response to reports of gunshots downtown. Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Reno Police at 775-334-2677. (KTVN)
  2. The City of Reno held a virtual meeting on Monday to discuss potential solutions to reduce interactions between wild horses and vehicles in the Virginia Range. The meeting was the third in a series of sessions on the matter and included updates on the previous two meetings. Members of the public were invited to offer feedback and raise questions about the ongoing safety issue and may continue to do so online. (KOLO)
  3. Fire crews with the Reno Fire Department responded to a residential fire on East Fourth Street on Saturday night. Crews discovered the blaze in a second-story apartment around 10:20 p.m. and were able to contain the flames to a single room. One person at the scene was treated at a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation. (KOLO)
