  1. A Reno man has been convicted of threatening Nevada lawmakers and staff through social media. Matthew Carter stood trial last week for tweeting the threats in Aug 2020. The tweets contained racist slurs and death threats. Carter will be sentenced in Oct. (KRNV)
  2. The Reno Police Department arrested a suspect who allegedly stole a vehicle with two children inside. A silver 2017 Chevrolet Equinox was reportedly stolen from the 8000 block of S. Virginia Street with an 8-month-old child and a 2-year-old in the car. Officials said the children were recovered safely and a suspect is in custody. (2 News)
  3. The Regional Narcotics Unit has arrested a Reno man on drug trafficking and weapons charges. The unit is comprised of detectives from multiple law enforcement agencies such as Reno Police Department and Sparks Police Department. Mason Wakefield was supposedly caught selling fentanyl throughout Washoe County while possessing firearms. (KOLO)
