- The Reno Fire Department responded to a Saturday night fire that occurred on East Fourth Street. The incident occurred at the Economy Inn near the intersection of Montello Street at 10:30 p.m. One occupant was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation treatment. As of Sunday evening, the department is still investigating the fire's cause. (KOLO)
- The Reno Police Department reports that a man was shot and killed along the Truckee River on Sunday morning. The incident occurred shortly after midnight in the area of Museum Drive. The victim's identity will not be revealed until the next of kin is notified of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to text Secret Witness. (KOLO)
- Reno's Chelsea Sodaro won first place in the women's pro division of the 2022 Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. It was her first time competing in the event and her second full triathlon. She completed the course in eight hours, 33 minutes, and 46 seconds. An Ironman triathlon is a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.22-mile run. (Reno Gazette Journal)
