Video Shows Hooded Man Abduct Naomi Irion In NV, Brother Says
Video shows a hooded man kidnap 18-year-old Naomi Irion outside a Walmart store in Fernley, Nevada, her brother says.

FERNLEY, NV — Authorities are searching for an 18-year-old woman who was last seen outside a Walmart store in Fernley, Nevada, and her brother says surveillance footage showed a hooded man forced his way into her car and kidnapped her.
Naomi Irion parked at the store around 5 a.m. Saturday and was waiting for a shuttle to take her to her job at Panasonic, KRNV-TV reported.
Her brother Casey Valley, 32, told NBC News that surveillance video showed a masked and hooded man walk into the parking lot, circle Irion's car and then force his way in.

“He circled around the parking lot maybe to make sure there were no witnesses,” Valley said. “He came up behind the car and forced his way into the driver’s side of the car. Maybe her door was unlocked. He either said or did something to make her move to the passenger seat, and then he drove her car away into an unknown direction.”
Valley said he was “mortified” after watching the video.

"I didn’t expect to see that. I was just trying to verify she made it to Walmart," he told reporters.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said the suspect may be driving a dark, newer model Chevrolet 2500 High Country pickup truck.

"The forensic evidence discovered, to date, continues to lead Lyon County Investigators to believe Naomi's disappearance is suspicious in nature and that the driver of the above vehicle has a direct connection to her disappearance and her current whereabouts," the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Investigators pinged her cellphone and later found Irion's four-door sedan near the store in an industrial area of Fernley, authorities said at a news conference Thursday.
On Thursday night, the sheriff's office said it and the FBI were searching the area of Hill Ranch Road and Highway 427 in Wadsworth in connection with the case. The public was asked to avoid the area to avoid possible damaging evidence.

Tamara Cartwright, Irion's sister, launched a GoFundMe account to raise money to help in the search for Irion.
"Our family will be using the money from this fundraiser to assist with the airplane flights of family members (I live in Texas and our parents live in South Africa) and any other costs associated with the search for Naomi," Cartwright said.
A coordinated search effort is planned Saturday at 11 a.m. beginning at Terrible's Casino, the post said.
Valley told reporters Irion lives with him in Fernley. She moved in with him in August. He described her to KRNV as compassionate and a homebody.
"It ruined me. I mean, I couldn't believe what I was looking at. You know, I didn't want to believe it," he said.
Cartwright described Irion is a people-lover who trusts others.
"She wants to have a relationship with people that she comes across. She is such a kind person. She'll do anything to help people," Cartwright said. "I'm so afraid that someone betrayed her trust."
Valley said authorities are constantly making new developments in the case, though not all have been released. He and Cartwright pleaded with the public to come forward with any information or tips.
A Facebook page has been created to help find Irion.
"We are out of time," Valley said. "It's so critical right now to just ... anything that you know or heard or thought of... it needs to be reported."
