How Much Do You Know About Reno?

Reno is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Reno has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.
A few things to know:
- Reno is home to the National Automobile Museum, which features over 200 vintage cars and is considered one of the top car museums in the world. Visitors can explore the evolution of the automobile and see rare and unique vehicles from the past century.
- The city of Reno was originally named Lake's Crossing after a toll bridge operator named Myron Lake. The name was changed to Reno in 1868, after Union General Jesse L. Reno, who was killed in the Civil War.
- Reno is known as the "Biggest Little City in the World" and is famous for its casinos, nightlife and entertainment. However, the city also boasts over 50 public parks and is surrounded by stunning natural beauty.
