  1. This last weekend was the last weekend of the Reno Fire Department's community dumpster program. The Wildland Fuels Reduction Program will continue to operate through Sept. 5, however. Wildland-urban interference zones can still request to have a dumpster delivered. Click for additional program information. (KRNV)
  2. Reno residents will now need classic car insurance to avoid a smog test on a classic vehicle. Beginning Jan. 2023, to qualify for classic car plates, a driver will need to purchase classic car insurance. The classic car cannot be used for general transportation. The new law is meant to reduce smog in Nevada while closing classic car loopholes. (The Drive)
  3. Washoe County is reportedly a top destination for wealthy California movers. The county was listed as the second-most popular destination for wealthy San Francisco movers by The Chronicle. Teton County, Wyoming was listed as the top destination. The movers are likely trying to avoid California's high taxes. (Mercury News)
