ISO New England's Consumer Group To Hold Public Meeting In Portsmouth

ISO New England’s Consumer Liaison Group will hold a public meeting in New Hampshire next month.

The Consumer Liaison Group meets four times a year with the goal of strengthening communication and understanding between the grid operator and electricity customers. On Thursday, March 30, it will welcome New Hampshire ratepayers to the AC Hotel in Portsmouth, from noon to 3:30 p.m.

According to ISO New England’s website, the meeting will be a “stakeholder forum between ISO New England and regional consumer organizations and advocates to exchange information about the economic impacts of New England’s bulk power system and wholesale electricity markets.”

The Consumer Liaison Board is a 12-member group with representation from all six New England states. From New Hampshire, state Consumer Advocate Donald Kreis and resident August Fromuth were re-elected last fall to its coordinating committee. Newly elected was Rev. Kendra Ford.

Announcing the Portsmouth meeting on the Office of the Consumer Advocate’s website, Kreis said the agenda has yet to be set and preregistration is typically required. That information will be posted at oca.nh.gov when it is available. An ISO New England official is anticipated to be present, making a presentation and then taking questions from attendees.
