Bedford Teams Among 150 Ready for DI Regionals
Two weekend regional tournaments will decide who goes to state finals in April, and then on to Global DI.
They say if it were easy, everyone would do it. These are the kids that do the hard stuff.
More than 1,100 students from some 150 teams – including several from Bedford – will compete in complex challenges based in the arts, science, technology, engineering, math and service learning. They are competing to advance to Destination Imagination State Finals with meets being held at this Saturday at Monadnock Regional High School in East Swanzey and Sanborn Regional High School in Kingston.

Teams from kindergarten to high school started working through the creative process in the fall, building teamwork and creative problem solving skills. What makes DI unique is that all solutions, including all ideas and construction must be done SOLELY by the team members, and not adults or friends. Teams are appraised for creativity and innovation.
Teams that advance from Regional competition will go on to the New Hampshire State Finals on April 6 in Salem, in hopes of advancing to Destination Imagination Global Finals in May.
