5 Fun NH Weekend Activities, Oct. 26-28

Arts and entertainment, some fun outdoor activities, and a grand opening brunch.

1. Grab your broom sticks! The popular third-annual Witch Way to the 5K run/walk takes place tomorrow, Saturday, Oct, 27. Participants are encouraged to dress up for the run, and the course, which begins at Ross A Lurgio School, will challenge runners and walkers alike.  The race is professionally timed and awards will be presented to the top finishers in each age group, the three best costumes, and some special awards. The proceeds from this race will go to support technology at the Ross A. Lurgio Middle School. The Kids Fun Run starts at 10:30 am and the 5K Run/Walk starts at 11:00 am.

2. Boo! New England FearFest at Fright Kingdom is the largest indoor attraction in New England and has been in existence for nearly a decade (as Fright Kingdom). New England FearFest was selected as one of the 2012 America's Best Haunts. Attractions include the Apocalypse Z, Vampire Castle, Carnival of Corpses 3-D, Bloodmare Manor and Grim! Tickets can be purchases at the door. General admission Friday & Saturday: $24; Thursday & Sunday: $17.

3. A Grand Sunday Brunch. The Labelle Winery has a grand opening brunch on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 11:30 a.m. Part of the celebration includes the first artist exhibition with Wilton's William Schnute, internationally acclaimed wood carver, sculptor and author. 345 Route 101 in Amherst. 4. No ordinary girls. The Indigo Girls, with full band, perform Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

5. Catch Footloose at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. The production opens Friday, Oct. 26, and runs through Nov. 10. Performance times this weekend: 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
