5 Things: Bedford Memorial Road Race Set for May

1. It's almost that time of year again. On Saturday, May 18, the 39th running of the Bedford Rotary Races will take place at Bedford High School. Register online for the 5K or 12K run through www.rotarybedfordnh.com, or print the application and mail it in. Tees for the first 400 registrants, and walkers are welcome in the 5K.

2. I need your help! We're closing the gap, but Bedford Patch is still losing the race to 1,000 Facebook 'Likes' by 88 right now. In fact, Windham Patch enters the day with 941 Facebook followers to Bedford Patch's 853. I don't know about you, but Bedford doesn't lose at anything (just as the high school sports teams). 3. Graduation date is set. Bedford High School Commencement Ceremonies have been scheduled for Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m.

4. On the agenda. The Bedford Planning Board meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the BCTV Bedford Town Meeting Room. In addition, the new-look Bedford Town Council is scheduled to gather at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the town meeting room.

5. The weatherman says ... the skies will be cloudy and the high today is 43 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain. There's also a 30-percent chance of snow tonight.
