- The Bedford Police department announced that its business phone line will not be available due to a phone system upgrade on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 7 a.m. The system upgrade is expected to take about three hours and "911 calls will not be affected." - A shoutout to Bedford Star Student Athlete Kendal, who brings her "A-game" to other parts of her life. At Patch, we’re working to let our neighbors "get to know the individual stories behind the leaderboard" and recognize hometown athletes in Bedford who are also "making a difference" in our community. Melissa Joyce nominated Kendal of Bedford, who "works hard to maintain her grades" and is a year-round athlete, who "volunteers her time when she can." Melissa noted Kendal is an honor student in math, art, and science—and is a "shining star on the field, on the ice, on the track." Know an outstanding student athlete? Nominate them as a Patch Star Student Athlete. (Bedford Patch)
