Accused Shooter John Delee Enters Plea Of Not Guilty In Fatal Queen City Shooting

John Delee, 22, of Salem, was accused of shooting Timothy Pouliot of Manchester 8 times after an argument on Old Granite Street on Saturday.

MANCHESTER, NH — John Delee, who was charged with second-degree murder and reckless conduct after a shooting incident outside a Manchester bar on Saturday, was expected to be in Hillsborough County Superior Court on Monday but waived arraignment instead.

A large group of Delee’s Family members and friends gathered in the lobby of the courthouse, but they refused to talk to reporters covering the arraignment.

Just feet away, Michelle Pouliot Bilodeau, the mother of the victim Timothy Pouliot, shared stories about her son. She told reporters she was advised by authorities Pouliot was shot eight times in his upper body, severing his arteries. Bilodeau said the gunshot wounds were in his shoulder, chest, and abdomen. Pouliot was 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighed just over 100 pounds, she said. Delee, the suspect charged, was listed as being 6 feet, 6 inches tall, and around 330 pounds.

Families for both the suspect and the victim entered the courtroom, where Delee’s attorney said he was waiving arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty on two charges. He was held on preventative detention at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections. His attorney requested a bail hearing to be held in the near future, where they will present a case for him to be released.

Delee was transported to the courthouse by the Hillsborough County Sheriffs but did not appear in the courtroom. He faces two felony charges, second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Pouliot and reckless conduct with a firearm which appears to be regarding the shooting of the gun near a crowd of people.

Attorney Scott Chase from the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said, at this time, all documents have been sealed, which is normal in a case involving murder charges.

The family of Pouliot expressed disappointment in not having Delee appear in the courtroom. They said they wanted to see if he showed remorse, but they didn’t have the opportunity.

Additional information from the family of Pouliot will be published in a different article in the near future.
