She was a single mother of two kids —one with a disability, which made things even harder. She got her GED then went on to cosmetology school to make a better life for us. Things were not always easy but she managed. Then she fell sick and I — her youngest daughter — had to take care of her. I was going to school and working to help provide for my family due to her not being able to work. She worked so hard to provide for us — it was time I stepped up. I moved her closer to me so I could take care of her. She loved her grand-babies so much — they were the light in her life. Then things got worse, she got sicker and ended up in a nursing home [and then] at the hospital, and she ended up dying four days later ... I needed to say how much of an amazing mom she really was. If she only knew how much of an amazing mom she truly was.
