Arrest Made In Manchester Murder, Appears To Be A Road Rage Incident

Dzemal Cardakovic of Londonderry was shot to death on South Willow Street Saturday. Tyrese Harris of Manchester faces 2 charges.

MANCHESTER, NH — An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a 45-year-old man on South Willow Street Saturday.

Around 3:30 p.m., Manchester police officers responded to the area of South Willow and Kaye streets in Manchester in response to multiple witnesses reporting that a person had been shot in the roadway.

When they arrived, they found Dzemal Cardakovic, 45, of Londonderry, unresponsive, and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Tyrese Harris, 22, of Manchester has been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of Cardakovic by shooting him with a firearm, and, alternatively, recklessly causing the death of Cardakovic under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, to wit, Harris shot Cardakovic with a firearm.

A witness told a reporter an SUV was stopping and starting while in traffic on South Willow Street in front of the truck driver. At the light just before the mall entrance, the truck driver got out of the vehicle to speak to the other driver and, during the process of doing so, was shot.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a blue 2015 Honda CR-V, which was described by witnesses and in a be on the lookout broadcast by local police departments. In the BOLO officers were advised the suspect had a history of resisting arrest and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Witnesses said there were possibly children in the sleeper cab of the truck. People identified as family members were on the scene shortly after the shooting and, with the assistance of police, were escorted away from the scene.

The truck had New Hampshire plates on it, and according to DOT numbers on the side of the truck, it is listed as a Manchester address to Agida Trucking.

Manchester police responded to addresses on Rockland Ave and Bodwell Road to search for the suspect addresses connected to the suspect. At about 6:30 p.m., sources indicated two people were taken into custody by Manchester SWAT officers after a vehicle stop.
